Abstract: Jiguge was a library of Mao Jin.Regarding the establishment of Jiguge,the former scholars have been involved,but they were not detailed.Through the study of Mao Jin′s poems,postscripts and other historical materials,the construction of Jiguge,the storage of books and the surrounding buildings are clear.Jiguge was built in the fall of the fourth year of Tianqi reign (1624),shortly after the death of Mao Jin′s father.The pavilion was divided into two layers,three couplets and six rooms.The style was simple and elegant.There were twelve bookshelves in the cabinet marked by twelve earthly branches.The bookshelves were gathered in the room,surrounded by seats,showing the shape of the stars holding the moon.The books on the shelf were divided into three parts: Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism.The Confucian classics,history,scholars and anthologies were compiled by A,B,C and D,all of which were exquisite in the Song and Yuan Dynasties.Outside the pavilion,there were Zaidetang,Baoyuetang,Baojinzhai,Cijingzuo,Mugenglou and other buildings.There was lotus pond in front of Jiguge for fire prevention.
