Abstract: This paper proposes that public libraries should carry out localized reading promotion work in combination with the regional characteristics of local culture, so as to achieve the purpose of inheriting excellent local culture and promote excellent traditional culture.On the basis of clarifying the definition of localized reading promotion, this paper analyzes the current situation of public libraries in China using localized reading promotion methods to inherit excellent local culture, and shows the practice and exploration of localized reading promotion in libraries in Sichuan Provincial Library, in order to provide valuable reference for public libraries to carry out related work.
